This listing if for one (1) USED IN EXCELLENT CONDITION Sadelco model 719D UHF & VHF Signal Level Meter. Make me an offer, I want to sell this thing! Get this meter for half the price of the cheapest Sadelco digital. Sadelco is an extremely well respected name in the field and this item is proudly made in New Jersey, USA!ĭigital signal level meters for the CATV industry by Sadelco currently sell from $1,000 upward. Not all cable television providers use the same cable system but the UHF and VHF frequencies are standard. HRC cable channel 2 through 13 frequencies are the same as VHF signal frequencies 2 through 13 for example. For example, this meter CAN measure CATV signal strength when CATV channels and VHF/UHF Channel frequencies are identical such as in HRC cable systems (most common). Those unfamiliar with the differences of broadcast and cable television should know the difference in their signal frequencies if intending to use this unit for CATV signal strength measurement. This is an older test meter for the broadcast and closed circuit television industry. It has never needed repair and has never been damaged. This meter has no case cracks, stress marks, meter panel damage, broken knobs, broken switches, or damage of any kind. It was used regularly right up to the time the contractor closed his doors for good.

This was once an essential part of any professional Closed Circuit Television and Master Antenna Television installer's and service man's gear. I was once very familiar with this handy little meter and know nearly its complete history. Operating Instructions for this meter are included on the battery cover panel located on the inside panel of the case door (see listing photos). Case includes hard plastic carrying handle and carrying strap D rings mounted to three (3) sides. Meter is permanently mounted in hard plastic case with aluminum edge trime which measures 10+1/4 inches by 7+3/8 inches by 6+1/8 inches deep when closed. Power On/Off Switch includes LED indicator. Unit has Audio On/Off Switch (you can hear the audio from the stations you have tuned into when On). I will include a wall wart type 120 volt AC power supply wit this listing with plug (not factory nor included in listing photo, but fully functional).

LED indicator indicates charging voltage present. Recharging can be done by plugging power supply into recharging jack on meter panel. Battery power can be two (2) non rechargeable 9 volt batteries (included) or twelve (12) rechargeable AA batteries (not included). Power is supplied via one (1) of two (2) battery packs which are included or power supply. Input is for 75 ohm and via Female F connector. Meter includes two (2) switches with built in +20 dB attenuation per switch. Ranges include 0 Attenuators, 1 Attenuator, 2 Attenuator, and 3 Attenuator. The meter has analog display reporting dBmV signal levels in four (4) ranges as well as battery level. The meter measures VHF television channels from 1 to 13 (often the same as CATV channels of same number depending on CATV system). The meter measures UHF television channels from 14 to 70 (different from CATV channels of same number). The meter is also labeled Blonder Tongue FSM-8. Sadelco manufacturers signal level equipment for the cable and broadcast television industries. It has been owned by the same contractor for something like 20 years and pampered. This meter is in excellent shape and in perfect working order. Offered for your consideration is one (1) USED IN EXCELLENT SHAPE Sadelco model 719D Analog UHF and VHF Signal Level Meter.
